| Metro Expositions was founded in 1985. Steve Anthony and his long time friend, Gary Brown, then formed a joint venture with the San Joaquin Home & Garden Show in 1986. Soon after the first show, Metro Expositions purchased the interests of Gary Brown Enterprises in the show and then added and deleted home and garden shows in other areas during the next eight years. Metro Expositions has also produced food shows for other companies like Port Stockton Food Distributors and the Northern California Grocers Association. Metro Expositions was instrumental in the successful production of the 85th Anniversary of Diamond Walnut Growers | in Stockton, CA. In this event Metro was responsible for a catered 1,200 person served luncheon, registration, transportation, plant tours, and a 100 booth trade show that depicted various elements of the Growers cooperative. Metro Expositions is a full service trade show production company with unique capabilities. Sister companies can fill voids seamlessly with ease. He is currently the president of the American Rental Association of California, two time past president of the Stockton/San Joaquin Convention & Visitors Bureau, past president of the Stockton Asparagus Festival, past vice president of the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce and a past board member of the Building Industry Association of the Delta. |
